Place and date from Fowler. The 32 plates are type A in the Fowler table of editions, 1563-[1800]. In the Fowler entry it is suggested that there may have been two earlier issues of the first XXXII leaves only, in 1562 and 1563?, so the present copy may be 3rd issue

Centered on front pastedown is Giovanni Muzio's bookplate by Giacomo Manzù, covered by a lineblock reproduction of the plate that omits both names. At foot of leaf II is inscription: prima Edizione del 1564. At head of back pastedown is inscription: 17. aprile 1815 - pag. £7-; beneath it is the inscription: prima Edizione del 1563. In upper right-hand corner of back pastedown is an old shelf mark
